Siggraph Conference - What to look out for!

From the 9th -13th of August, we’ll have the SIGGRAPH Conference!

For those of you who don’t know SIGGRAPH is, the website describes it like this: “The ACM Special Interest Group on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques (SIGGRAPH)

promotes the generation and dissemination of information on computer graphics

and interactive techniques.”

So, this means it is one big conference showcasing all the latest advances in technology! Last year had companies such as Nvidia, Unity, Microsoft, Intel, Autodesk, Wacom, Foundry & Dell. So, you can see it’s a pretty big event!

There’s a lot of different ticket options that are all pretty pricey, but the basic £50 ticket gets you all the core elements such as the Exhibition and Job Fair. Not only is it a good look into some innovative technology, but it's also a fantastic place to do some networking!

There are also a few talks you can also join! Some interesting ones on how technology will impact us in the future and even some much more technical ones on Vulcan rendering e.c.t.

The Exhibition space this year will run 10th –12th August and will be virtual. You can stop by to get a glimpse of hundreds of companies showing off their latest hardware systems and software tools. As for the Job Fair, you can upload your resume to the SIGGRAPH database, and employers can search through and see if you’re fit for the job! There are listings currently on the website so have a look to see if any are a good match for you!
